Puget Sound businesses said there is no need to panic yet, but they are feeling the impact from the coronavirus. “Now because of the coronavirus, disrupting the production in China, we’re not going to get those goods when we were hoping,” said Bernie Thompson, founder of Redmond’s Pluggable Technologies, referring to a fall shipment he expected to arrive this month. Thompson said he’s relying on reserves while Chinese factories remain understaffed due to the coronavirus.
